Eleven Years in the Trade. One Person on the Job.
Jayden Svenhard started in the plumbing trade in high school in Vernon, BC. Eleven years later he has worked every stage of it — high-end custom homes, spec builds, commercial buildings, and residential service, for large companies and small local shops.
He moved to Victoria and started Blue Heron for a specific reason: he wanted to work directly with the people he works for, and to put his name on the job.
Why owner-operated matters
Most plumbing companies run on dispatch. You call an office, describe the problem to someone who will not be doing the work, and a technician arrives — a different one next time. Nobody carries the history of your house, and nobody is personally accountable for how the last job turned out.
Danielle or Jayden answers. Jayden quotes the job, does the work, and is the one you call if something is not right. That is the whole model, and it is the reason the company exists.
Custom homes, then service work
Most of Jayden's first decade was spent in new construction, a good deal of it on high-end custom homes in the Okanagan, alongside spec builds and commercial work.
That background changes how service calls go. Knowing how a house is actually put together — where lines run, how a build was sequenced, what the last trade did and why — usually means finding the cause faster and fixing it once rather than twice.

Outside work
Skiing, camping, hiking, and biking, mostly somewhere on the Island.
